    Join Us for a Day Visit

    Explore Norwich for yourself! Find out what it's like to be a student. All day visits include a walking tour of campus. Lunch is provided during the academic year when the dining hall is open. Additional meetings with professors, coaches, and departments are contingent on the availability of campus officials. You must register to visit campus. Registration closes a few business days before each visit. If online registration is closed, please call  802.485.2001— we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

    Visit Scholarship: students who visit the Northfield, Vermont campus on an official Admissions visit are eligible for a $1,000 Visit Award toward their first year of study.

    Important Dates
    • Last Day of Classes: April 22, 2025 (After this, many departments and students will be unavailable.)
    • Fall Semester Begins: Week of August 25, 2025
    Office Closures 
    • Fridays: the Admissions Office closes at 2:00 p.m.
    • August 5-6, 2025 – Staff Training

    • August 20, 2025 – Civilian New Student Arrival Day

    • September 1, 2025 – Labor Day

    What to Expect
    • Your requested meetings during registration help us create your personalized visit schedule. You'll receive an email with your arrival time and full agenda as your visit date approaches. If you need a tentative arrival time to make travel plans, please contact us at visit@norwich.edu.
    • We are located in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. There are many hills and stairs on campus. The campus tour is 60-75 minutes long. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for walking outdoors. 
    Travel Information
    • Please be aware that there are no taxis or rideshare services available in Northfield, VT, so you must arrange your transportation to and from campus in advance. We recommend renting a car if you are flying in from out of state.
    • The nearest airport is Burlington International Airport (BTV). As a small regional airport, overnight stays are not permitted for unaccompanied students, so please plan your travel accordingly.
