Corps of Cadets Overnight Experience

Experience Life on the Hill

This program is designed for high school seniors or high school juniors that are at least 16 years old interested in the Corps of Cadets.

Spend a night on campus and see what it’s like to be a Norwich student. Attend classes, explore academics, and get an inside look at the Corps of Cadets. Families can join information sessions on admissions, financial aid, and campus life. Reunite for lunch, enjoy a guided campus tour, and optionally connect with ROTC, athletics, or attend the Veterans Day Parade.
 

Event Schedule: 

• Thursday, 3:00–3:30 PM: Check-In (Milano Ballroom)
  Meet your student host and get settled for your overnight stay. Parents are dismissed for the evening while students experience campus life firsthand.

• Friday Morning: Student Experience
  Students will have breakfast and attend classes alongside their hosts.

• 9:15 AM: Admissions Information Session (Mack Hall 225)
  Family members are invited to learn about Norwich’s admissions process, scholarships, and financial aid opportunities.

• 10:00 AM: Corps of Cadets Briefing (Mack Hall 225)
  Discover what it means to be part of the Corps, including its structure, traditions, and leadership development opportunities.

• 11:00 AM: Lunch (Wise Campus Center Dining Hall)
  Students rejoin their families for lunch and can store luggage in WCC 133 (Fishbowl Lounge).

• 12:00 PM: Campus Tour (Depart from Harmon Hall Lobby)
  Explore campus on a guided walking tour led by Norwich student ambassadors.

• 1:15 PM: Optional ROTC Meetings
  Meet with ROTC representatives from your preferred branch to learn more about training and scholarship options.

• 2:15 PM: Optional Athletic Meetings
  Connect with Norwich coaches to explore athletic opportunities.

• 4:00 PM: Optional Veterans Day Parade (Upper Parade Ground)
  Experience a signature Norwich tradition as the Corps of Cadets honors our nation’s veterans.

During free time, guests are welcome to visit the Sullivan Museum & History Center, Campus Bookstore, and Cadet Uniform Store.
