    The Norwich University AI Academy is a hands-on experience for high school students (grades 9–12) who want to dive into the world of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

    Through interactive coding labs, hardware projects, and team challenges, campers will learn the fundamentals of AI and machine learning while also exploring the ethics and real-world impact of these technologies. Along the way, students will experience life on a university campus, connect with faculty mentors, and take part in fun evening activities with new friends.

    What You’ll Do

    - Python for Beginners: Learn to code through fun challenges and mini-games.
    - Machine Learning Basics: Build beginner-friendly AI models for images and text.
    - Raspberry Pi Projects: Create simple AI-powered devices.
    - Drone Programming: Code drones to fly custom paths.
    - AWS DeepRacer Cars: Train and race autonomous mini-cars.
    - AI & Society: Explore ethics, bias, privacy, and AI’s impact on the future.
    - Capstone Project: Work in teams to design and present a real-world AI solution.

    Beyond the Classroom

    - Evening recreation, team-building, and campus activities
    - One-day field trip to a tech partner or research lab (TBD)
    - Final Showcase: Present projects to peers, faculty, and families

    What You’ll Take Home

    - A Python coding portfolio
    - Mini AI + hardware builds
    - A team Capstone project
    - A Certificate of Completion from Norwich University

    Program Cost: $1200

    $1000 Scholarships Available (Must be a US Citizen)
